Today is the last day of first semester and it has been such a hectic week I am so glad that it is finally over. I struggled finishing my last psychology project which caused a large amount of stress for me but, luckily, I finished and was able to complete all of my classes. All semester I worked hard to achieve level 4s in Psychology, Leadership, and Government but as of right now the teachers have not input the 4’s on my educate so I am worried that they will forget and that I will not receive the credit I earned. However I do understand that they may be overwhelmed with all of the grading so I will wait and see if anything changes. It is such a relief knowing that I was able to pass 7 out of 7 without any major problems due to my time management. Now I just need to make sure that I am able to continue the year with this work ethic and get what I need done.
Time is going by really fast! I am already going to be presenting my exit interview next week and that is a very scary thought. In english we have not had time to practice so I feel as if I will not be going in as prepared as I could have been but I will have to do my best and hope for the best. After this journal I will be completely done with my weebly and with the entire senior project. Although I am glad I have one less thing to worry about, I am upset that I will be done with a big part of senior year because it makes me realize in a few months I will be a freshman in college. Today I found out that I will not be able to get a math class and I need to finish Algebra 2 in order to graduate and attend a four year university but my counselor is working on it so I am hoping that soon she will get back to me, making that another thing I would no longer have to worry about.
Graduation is coming faster than I thought but I am more excited than I am nervous. I am looking forward to walking in the ceremony with my walking partner and seeing the smile on my family’s face. There are so many things to look forward to in the second semester of senior year such as graduation, senior sunset, the bbq for university bound seniors, and most of all grad night. My class has not always been on the same page but I know that all of these events shared with them will be great memories from high school. So far I have not taken many preparations for post-high school other than applying to the schools and financial aid but I am in no rush because I am still waiting to hear back from the majority of the schools I applied to. Senior year has been a really good experience so far and I know that this last semester of high school will only bring good memories and great times with great friends.
